So I wanted to change the sms sent and sms recieved sounds when youre already in the sms screen.

ive already replaced the SentMessage.caf & RecievedMessage.caf in the UISounds folder and ive also replaced the same sounds but in .aiff format in the Applications/MobileSMS folder and i dont know why theyre not working..

Any ideas??

yeah i restarted and everything...not sure what else i can do? i might just go back to stock sounds for sms for the moment...

Two things. 1st one is obvious - permissions & owner. 2nd is length. I remember playing around with the SMS received sound. Greater than a certain length and I got nothing. Try making it very short to test and increasing until it stops.

how do i mess around with the permissions??
and the sound ive got on there is shorter than the original sound...

upload your sounds in a zip file so that some of us can mess around with it and see if we can find out whats going on with it
