iPhone double click for iPod controls like iPod touch?
When in a game, and music is not on, double clicking the home button will take me to my favourites. On the iPod touch, you could force it to bring iPod controls. The iPhone will only do this is music is already playing and playing an app always stops the music.
Hook me up, nerds.

Settings > General > Home Button will give you an option force it to bring up the iPod app.

I hate that too. I don't think there's anything you can do, unfortunately.

It's probably possible to do something about this, if someone can find a file on the iPod touch that apparently makes this selection possible. It is /Applications/Preferences.app/Home Button.plist.
Windows tool to edit .plist, .strings and .nib files: pledit.
Or use a website that will convert the binary form to a readable format.
On iPhone you can convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities from Cydia), or edit them with iFile (from Cydia).

I also have this problem on my iPhone. I was so used to my touch where the double click would bring up the quick controls for the music.
Anybody try what Jim Danner said?

Supreme Prefs 3.0 allegedly does this :-)
And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream!

I installed Supreme Prefs 3. I see tons of options I selected iPod for double clicking on the home button. It does the same thing. It goes to the iPod program not the quick launch of the iPod.
Any other ideas?

OK I had to wipe my iPhone and we went to Cydia. SP3 is not longer on Cydia. They are re writing it to make it more stable. Anybody know of a different app. I found iPodpop but that didn't work for me.
Thanks
