    Default WinSCP issues

I've been having winscp issues for ssh-ing my iphone to my computer. I realized that I have a mac airport connected to my wired router to get wireless for my iphone, would that be an issue? If so, how can I suprass it?

When I login I get a blank screen on the window and "connection has timed out" Any solutions would be great, thanks!

I use a program called "iphonetunnel"

It allows you to SSH into the phone like normal.......without a WIFI connection. Even though I have a wireless router...I use it and it works great.

I have had that happen periodically. What I found happens is that my router will not be able to resolve the address for the iPhone. If you go into the router settings you may be able to see this. What also happens is occasionally the DHCP will reassign the IP address for the iPhone.

The third thing and most likely culprit is I noticed is that my Kaspersky Internet Security firewall will block the connection for WinSCP. I can fix this by going into the firewall settings and fixing what is allowed for local networks and WinSCP. You may want to check your firewall settings if you have one. Make sure all is allowed for your local network. In Kaspersky I had to go in at the application level.

You could also use a program called DiskAid, it's free and doesn't require wifi. Just plug and and open the program, voila.

True that DiskAid will allow you to access your files, I always feel that if something isnt working as it should that it signifies a problem that might affect some other aspect of the iPhone. Put differently, I'm a bit anal about things being correct.
