Where Can I find this image?
My 2G's touch screen is half dead (the top works but nothing bellow the third row of icons), and I want to use Veency to control it, the only problem is that I need to accept the dialog. And its under the third row. So how can I find the button for the accept/deny? I found it a few months ago, and now I cannot since updating to 2.2.

PS. I understand this may need to go under theming, but I am not interesting in theming. I just need to mod the button to be much larger than normal.

I am just trying to control my phone with veency. But I am having trouble since the screen quit. I created this thread to find the image that the phone uses to accept or deny. I wanted to stretch the image to be much taller than normal since I can use the screen above the third row. But if anyone can tell me alternatives to connect to veency I would appreciate it.
And BTW the screen just suddenly quit one day. It started with just the dock area not responding and it started to spread. I never dropped it, I never spilled water in it, and was never exposed to extreme heat/cold/dust. I have tried everything to fix. I have downgraded it all the way back to 1.0 and up to 2.2 with no luck. It's hardware not software. The only thing I haven't tried is relocking the phone since I have no way of doing it

I would appriciate any and all help
I know I was able to change the image previously under 2.1 and it wasn't in a artwork file but it may have changed. I just wish I could remember which image it was. It was either in the TelephonyUI or the Springboard.app. I have never messed with the artwork files before but will try it now.
I just tried editing the other.artwork, and I dont know if it is Winterboard or just the os but I am unable to make the bar taller. It made it wider not taller even though I enlarged both the height and width. Is there anyway to edit dylib files or issue an accept command in terminal? It should be possible to do the latter since every ui has a command behind it.Last edited by mfleigle; 12-16-2008 at 11:42 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

i dont think you can make the image bigger (taller) in 2.0 onwards because they changed alot of the artwork layout remember that why summerboard no longer worked. there may be a command or something though.

im thinking command script is the way to go on this one. i know nothing about the scripts myself though but that would be your best option if not trying to get it replaced. id go for the replacement if there is no water damage to it or anything

I want to control the iphone that is connected to my stereo (across the room). I have no warantee so getting it fixed is not an option. And I was able to change the image on 2.0-2.1 just not 2.2. Anyone know where I can find a list of terminal commands? All I can find is the most basic commands, and the wiki isnt working now...

I can do that now, but it's tricky. I edit my 3g's springboard to be the way I want and just copy the .plist. The only problem is I hide almost all icons on my 3G besides the stock so I end up hiding the wrong items
I just tried comparing the syslog before and after vncing my 3g and I didn't see any helping clues. Just my pc's ip
I wish I could learn to code or edit the dylib files. I googled dylib and it says Xcode can modify it so I tried it with my SDK with no luck. It loaded it fine but I could figure out how to modify

Are you sure you haven't tried to take it to an Apple store and have them look at it? I don't know where you are but even phone support by Apple should be of some help. They send you a phone to use while they repair yours. Heck i dont have ATnT and i took my phone to the apple store and they replaced it. Sure I had an extended warranty and used a friends SIM chip that was an ATnT. But they looked at it, checked for the water damage and saw it had no dents in it and was fine other than the bottom of the screen didn't work. Worse come to worse they will be able to quote you a price for repair and you can decide to go with it. Won't hurt... worse come to worse you walk out of there with the same phone you have. LOL they wont take it away from you.
Oh of course hide all your Jailbreak stuff and use that SBsettings so you can poof it back up by swiping the top bar. (Love that program)

eh from what I hear, it sounds like a hardware problem, simply restore your iphone to the unjailbroken stage and bring it in to AT&T or your local Apple Store
