Default Hide lockscreen clock & date on 1.1.2

After reading numerous posts on various threads & suffering the spinning wheel of death (twice!) i have finallyfound a way of removing/hiding the clock & date on the lock screen for us 1.1.2 users in the UK.

    1. Install Fontswap app from Installer (i used iappcat to obtain the kankon repo, this one installed 100% no probs).

    Reboot.

    Hide Clock
ssh into phone via winscp, navigate to System/Library/Fonts
locate & delete LockClock.ttf file (backup original 1st!)
replace with LockClock file in the attached "hide clock" folder.

    Now navigate to System/Library/Fonts/Cache
locate & delete LockClock.ttf file (backup original 1st!)
replace with LockClock file in the attached "NoClock" folder.

    Reboot.

Open Fontswap app, choose "change Lock Clock Font" then choose Lock Clock as your font, respring & the clock should now be hidden.

You can always have the clock back if you wish by opening FontSwap, change lock clock font to another of your choice, respring & the clock is now visible again.

    Hide Date
    navigate to System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/Dateformats
locate & delete uk.plist (again, backup original 1st)
    replace with attached en.plist

    Reboot.

date on lockscreen should now be hidden.

All credits to the original suppliers of the attached files from here at MMi & MacThemes forums.

    Enjoy.

ahh what are you saying..? don't get anything at all. No my phone is respiringing 'till death! spinning 'til death or whatever. ****... Plus what you are saying is really not understandable...

ahh f*ck it. now i'm about to restore my phone. fix this thing! this ain't working for me! i renamed NoClock to NoClock.font and stored it in my var/mobile/fontswap/fonts and i chose it from fontswap. because what you told me to do was just working. so my phone was respinring to death nothing was working because once you **** up your lock clock you're just not able to go into anything on your phone after you respring or lock the device. and renamed NeoTech.font to NoClock.font and it's not working... F*ck!!!

oh ahahahahahahaha! did't have to Restore! Now how the hell are you supposed to make this thing work!

M1ngaa, SLOW DOWN, you're not on firmware 1.1.2 are you?
this is the method for 1.1.2 ONLY, you don't have to re-name the files just replace them, the name's are already correct in the folders i attached. I never mentioned going into var/mobile/fontswap/fonts or re-naming any NeoTech? font.

Read the post on this forum called "Hide everything on the "slide to unlock" screen" and see if that's any help, i think it will be more suited to your firmware.

If i could take a screenshot of my unlock screen you would see that this works 100% for firmware 1.1.2, (guess i'll take a pic with my mates iphone & post the results)

    Good luck

oh haha. I'm sorry yeah that hide date thingy worked on 2.1 tho. Tanx. Well all i did't understand was you going into your system/library/fonts/cache and then you're replacing LockClock.ttf twice... you know... I think you can just replace it once with NoClock folder... well is it ever gonna work on 2.1 tho?

Yeah, i know 1.1.2 is behind the times, but i've just about got everything i need on the iphone now (picture messaging, SMS forwarding, & loads of other apps) & i'm loathed to upgrade & start again. I think cricketlang's right there m1ngaa, i'm sure i've read about a cydia app that can sort it for you. (Glad the date one worked out for you tho!)

p.s. just bought the Otterbox Defender case, absolute stunner! I think i'm complete.

2.2 is WAAAAYYYY better. my suggestion is to back everything up and move up. it will take no longer than a night to get back up and running. performance is WAAYYY better and there is so much more here with 2.2 scoot64.

cool. I'll try 2.2 and do you know... ummmm... I have this Keyboard layout called NeoTech, installed thru Cydia. I think you know what it is. And I really wanna do my own, but on Russian... How do I do that? I can't open my CMD from my computer because i've messed it up long time ago. And i really do not wanna repair my computer... so i can't use that iphoneshop thingy... if you know how to or you have one already can you give it to me? that's the last thing I need to mod. Oh and well one more thing. I've edited ru.lproj everywhere. But then when i install new apps it shows in Russian. Even google.com how do i fix that..?

not sure on the russian stuff. as far as the keyboard goes let me look on mine (i have the neotech one installed right now ) ....ok doesnt work with the black neokeys....let me check the normal. mind you i dont know what russian neokeys would look like but im trying for you. ok so neokeys NUMBERS works with the russian one but i dont think the letters. if you want to learn how to make your own keyboard check out the theming thread for keyboards and ask some people there (i dont make keyboards ) im not sure about the language stuff. i only work with english
