Default Can Someone Help Me Fix Springbored.Strings

So I edited the file so I can change the "Slide To Unlock" text.. Everything was good until there wasn't a number on my Calender App and when I get a new SMS it says "SMS_CLOSE" and "SMS_REPLY" After I noticed the changes to the SMS and Calender I put the original non edited file back, but I still have the same problems.. any ideas??

Ok, I fixed the SMS problem, but still don't have a number on my calender.

I hope you made a copy of your original Springbored.Strings file. If so, erase the modified version you are using now and use this tutorial to make a new modified Springbored.Strings. I had the same problem as you until I used this helpful post...:

Insert the string below where it belongs alphabetically. That'll bring your number back.

    <key>CALENDAR_ICON_DAY_NAME_FORMAT</key>
    <string>EEEE</string>
    <key>CALENDAR_ICON_DAY_NUMBER_FORMAT</key>
    <string>d</string>

I found this thread after having a similar problem - I screwed up my SpringBoard.strings file.
I found a "virgin" file on this site, and loaded it into the phone, and changed the "slide to unlock"
file by converting the file to XML using Mobile Terminal as described in another thread on this site.

So far, everything is great, except I am still missing the number on the Calendar app.
I compared the strings above with the ones in my SpringBoard.strings file, and they are
exactly the same. Also, when I uploaded the "virgin" SpringBoard.strings file to the phone,
the calendar number is still missing. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Edit: Just wanted to post a followup...

Somehow the MobileCal Patch in Boss Prefs was selected - I deselected it, rebooted, and the icon is back!

Just a heads up for anyone else having the same problem ;-)
