    Unhappy Permissions on HOSTS file?
Anyone know what the default permissions on the \\etc\HOSTS file should be? I have the 45Kb file in place and I can use safari but I dont know that it is accually doing anything? how could I verify? I think the permissions keep defaulting to:

    Owner Read Write
    Group Read
    Everyone Read

    Any help would be appreciated.

Well it looks like the Owner and group are incorrect as they do not say the default root, mobile?? Any thought on how I can get this changed?

Well I do think that the HOSTS file is working as if I try to go to one of the listed domains eg: www.doubleclick.net I get a popup that safari couldnt find the page.
