Retrieve your mail through a proxy possible

I'm looking for a solution to be able to retrieve my gmail though Mail.app, but through a proxy. My current environment has blocked IMAP and POP ports. Anyone have a method for this?

I don't know if this can solve your problem, I use it to retrieve my hotmail in mail.app and works great.
