How to disable Auto Complete?

Hey folks,

I saw somewhere, can't remember the post, a way do disabling auto complete by patching some file that adds this option to the Keyboard settings in General.

Anyone please help me finding this...

There is a mod called "Br" now in the installer list (Under tweaks) that adds this option in keyboard settings so you can 'inable/disable' anytime you want

yea it's samething that this one does. it's an ON/OFF option in preferences.

There is an app called 'Kb' under the tweaks section in installer. That's what whoismike is referring to.

I found this in another post:
Rename the "TextInput_en.bundle" to "TextInput_en.backup" and it disables auto correction.

ts located at /System/Library/TextInput/

... omg I love you so much right now. thanks for that, autocorrection was really disturbing and I just couldn't get rid of it on 2.0. thank you!

best thing: start Cydia and scroll down a little on the "Home" screen. there is an "How-To: OpenSSH" tutorial which is pretty good.
once you are connected via SSH you can browse your iphone and therefore just go to that location ;-)

Right now it´s easier to just install "Disable Auto-Correction (2.0.1)" from Cydia instead.

Does this work on the 3G phones or just jailbroken phones?

hey guys, there's a new app on cydia called CToggle, or CToggle Add-on for Boss Prefs, you can now swtich auto-complete on and off..

i wonder why Apple never had this option..
