check for blocked ports on your computer and make sure nothing changed with your VNC settings. Sometimes the VNC server will take over the 5900 and 5901 ports and sometimes I have even seen them try and access the 22 ports. Never saw an instance of how or why. Just make sure you're getting through the ports.
Since you are on a Mac, go into your network utility and ping the iphone IP to see if you are getting in, then port scan, then do your own computer. They give you these tools in OSX just for such cases.
