ftp on 2.1?! can't connect

i have a jailbroken 16gb 3g. i just upgraded to 2.1 from 2.0 which was also jailbroke. on 2.0 i could ftp perfectly fine with cyberduck. since the upgrade i can't get in. i have tried everything possible that i found online. i was just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with this, or if anyone knows any fixes. my ip address has not changed. i re-set up my bookmarked connection. i uninstalled and reinstalled openssh numerous times. i deleted the known_hosts file. i entered everything using the quick connect. installed boss prefs on phone to make sure ssh is running. uninstalled and reinstalled cyberduck. i basically did everything that i know of, except rebuild the 2.1 firmware and reinstall on the phone. any help would be awesome!! thanks

check for blocked ports on your computer and make sure nothing changed with your VNC settings. Sometimes the VNC server will take over the 5900 and 5901 ports and sometimes I have even seen them try and access the 22 ports. Never saw an instance of how or why. Just make sure you're getting through the ports.

Since you are on a Mac, go into your network utility and ping the iphone IP to see if you are getting in, then port scan, then do your own computer. They give you these tools in OSX just for such cases.

Interesting. My fix that i posted earlier is no longer working.

I had sone a fresh restore and re-jailbreak and things were working great until i reinstalled 5 icon dock. Now my old fix doesn't even work. I found that I cannot ping my iphone from my PC . I can ping my pc from my iphone. To me this seems like my iPhone is blocking the PC and not the other way around. Ports and networking are areas I am a bit clueless about.
