Getting of iPod label
Anyone know how? I've removed the name from the Springboard LocalizedApplicationNames.strings but it still shows up on the Springboard. All other labels can be removed except for iPod. Hints?

Hmmmm, I know Winterboard will allow you to hide icon labels including Ipod.

Ha, I know you guys hold Winterboard in such high esteem, but I don't. Just looking for a simple file mod.

I've been trying that for like a year now or something ... if you find a way, please let me know instantly!
I know the label of the ipod application is controlled by the Info.plist in /Applications/MobileMusicplayer.app/ ... on an ipod touch the label seems to change, but if I change the label on the iPhone in the Info.plist it doesn't apply ... no idea why.

I realise this thread is very old but I have figured out how to do it. In LocalizedApplicationNames.strings , rename '"com.apple.mobileipod" to "com.apple.mobileipod-MediaPlayer" and you will able to change the dock label (or remove it)
