OK also to turn this off just turn off keyboard clicks in the sound settings

Does not work for me. I do get the vibration effect on phone dialer, but not on the keyboard. I am on 2.0.1 fw. Will try to find a fix.
Edit: Just figured I try turning on keyboard clicks in settings and volla it does work. So now I will just replace the keyboard click sound with a muted sound file.Last edited by iBlade; 09-02-2008 at 12:33 PM.

This is exciting. Will try it when I get home. I am curious though, how "hard" does it vibrate. Is it just a soft vibe? (comparable to the verizon touch-screen device, the name of which I have forgotten for the moment?) If so, this is awesome and thanks for the TUT!
I suppose it is also worth requesting that this be integrated into, say customize or maybe just an app in itself so we don;t have to go about manually chaning these things

^^Hahaha, yeah anytime you "replace" files in the system, a reboot is necessary.

I would love to have the phone NOT be on silent, yet still feel a vibrate without the tap tap tap sound (stock sound). Any ideas?
