Transparrent Clock bar and Slide to Unlock bar iphone 2.0
Hey there people.
I have been reading alot arround your Forum, and done some modding to my iphone.
Now that i have almost the perfect setup (in my mind atleast), I am only a coupple of steps away from "perfection"
One thing I need to get done is to remove the bar behind the Clock Numbers on the Lock screen (or make it transparrent) How can i do this? Is there a .png file somewhere that i can replace?
My other task is make the bar behind the "slide to unlock" transparrent.
Any reply is a good reply

OK. So the Slide to unlock bar I have made transparrent. Now all i need to find is the Clock picture. Can anyone point me in the right direction?Last edited by Kringon; 09-02-2008 at 08:08 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

for the clock, and slider, you need to use winterboard. add this to your themes folder of winterboard in var/stash/themes and select it using winterboard.
to make it completly transparent, use customize to change the strings so you can make the "slide to unlock" blank. go edit the string for it and just hit the space button. then save it.1.1.1>1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2>3.1>3.1.2 blackra1n'd
waitin on my white iphone 4

I have tried some different approches, but i can not seem to figure it out. It´s gotta be something close to how it was done in the last version, but with different files i think.

You can make it transparent through UIImages.
Unzip this file, ssh the contents into the winterboard theme you are using. If a UIImages folder already exists in the theme then take the UILCDBackground.png (It's in the zipped file) and drag it into the folder, overwriting the existing .png file.
This will make the clock-bar transparent.Last edited by 461am; 09-03-2008 at 02:31 AM. Reason: blah!

Great Stuff!! Thanks for your aid.
Although i got what i originally asked for i am wondering about where u get that information. Is there a text file with a reference to which files points to what on Iphone 2.0x?
F.eks: UILCDBackground.png obviously points to the bar behind the clock. But what about the status-bar of the lock screen? I know how to alter the normal statusbar, but there are two different onces..

As a matter of fact there is one. UIImages.txt provides a name for each of them. You can grab a download of the original (unedited) files from here. You can then modify them as you want, just keep the correct dimensions in mind.

Great stuff 461. This will atleast make it abit easier. Although one should start modifying that txt files with examples like "UILCDBackground.png -> bar behind clock" etc. But that is one ugly job

True, it would be an ugly job. Thankfully someone's already made progress. The list is far from complete, but still pretty comprehensive.

If you want everything on the lockscreen to be transparent, except for the time, date, and status bar icons, go into Cydia, "Sections" (bottom tab next to "Home"), scroll down to "Themes (Springboard)", scroll down to a theme called "Un-Unlockable". Install it, open Winterboard and apply the theme. It will make the bar behind the clock and the slider completely transparent and it will remove the slider itself as well.
