Question? How to with an ipsw

Is there anyway I can save my pwnd iphones ipsw and reuse it to build another one so that I could add more to it? I have a 1st generation iphone pwnd with winpwn 2.0.4.

I've gone through about 10 pagesof the file mods forum, if you know theanswer please help. i want to be able to extract my iphones firmware, or at least modify an og 2.1 firmware

if you created a custom firmware, you can use it on as many iphones that you want to! just make sure that they are the same iphone (ist gen or 3G)

but i would just use a new firmware if you plan on changing anything

I search all google and cannot find answer to extract iphone fw out and share with friend.
I think we can restore from ipsw but cannot extract out from the phone
