Help Tethering EDGE
Anyone has been able to tether the iphone edge on windows xp?
Maybe you can help me, I just did it but I have this issue; When i try to open a page let's say Google.com I cannot see it, i don't get an error or anything, the page just stay blank, but when I type 64.233.187.99 (google's ip) google shows up.
The same with yahoo, apple, hotmail and more.
I can normally access others like espn, facebook, even modmyi.
If some one else had the problem and know how to solve it i appreciate the help.
if not, My question: Is there anyway I can tell firefox that replace the domain name (google.com) with the ip address instead?
because even if I type the ip address and i can see the page, at the moment I need to click anywhere inside the page i.e search, firefox change again and I get ablank page.Code:http://www.google.com/seach=xxxxx+xxxblahblah

iPhone has bug in the DNS for version 1.1.4 and below. If you open a terminal window and ping www.google.com , it can not resolve. while it will resolve google.com.
Try to upgrade to newer firmware (2.x), jailbreak and tether again.

Just before you use the firefox, you can "prime" the iPhone by utilize iPhone Safari with the page that you are going to look. Ex: prime with a google page on iPhone Safari, the DNS within iPhone cache will be correct, then you can use the firefox from your PC to get to google.
