Modding without a sim???

Hey everyone,

Just a quick question. Do you need to have the sim card installed to mod the phone?
My lil sis can't figure it out so she's next daying her phone to me so I can do it, but now I'm wondering if the sim needs to be in it for any reason. She's using it in another phone she has.

I didnt think so but I figured I should ask just in case

good question .i think it you can but when she gets it back visual voice and youtube etc. might not work

why would that cause visual vm to not work?

Its her phone that she's had since the release and it works she takes her sim out I just turn it on jailbreak it put on some icons and ringtones and send it back she puts her sim back in it registers it and bam all is good
