PXL not installing on 2.0

I have the first gen Iphone with 2.0, i am having some issues with getting my text messages however, it is not my sim card, nor my carrier so its the unit it self, i have found a way to maybe [big maybe] fix it but PXL is not installing

is there some way to get it running, or is there any way to run PXL files from another route instead of ibrickr, because it is not installing i shut down twice and nothing happens afterwards just carries me to home screen, reason why i need this because Mobile finder is required for the fix

Any ideas, oh and im on a PC

change the .pxl to .zip file.....you should just be able to rename it.
