Thread: Backup Save Game Files?

    Default Backup Save Game Files?
I am looking to backup my highscore data (specifically for MotionX Poker), so that I can do a fresh restore on my iPhone. I don't want to lose my hard earned achivements! I am not too familiar with the iPhone file structure, where would I find this data? There seems to be 3 different "Library" folders and 3 different "Applications" folders scattered around.

You can preserve your data and progress by syncing your device with iTunes. Every time you sync your iPhone or iPod Touch applications with iTunes, it should back up MotionX Poker (or any other App) and the associated data (e.g. in-game progress including coins, dice, gems, stats, etc. for MotionX Poker). Then if you have to restore your device/applications for any reason, they should be restored intact from your most recent sync/backup... I don't know if you can explicitly view the data files, but this method should work for you -- I've tried it multiple times.

id like to ask the same question,
(i have a 1st gen, 2.0.2 pwnage, jailbroken not unlocked.)
i am familiar will shh/sftp and the iphone file structure
    i have looked in /Applications/Documents and var/mobile/Documents
but nothing in either(no app store app saves) only video recorder files.

now i have so many apps and unlocked levels and cars in asphalt etc etc,

the reason i dont want to do the itunes way of backing up is because, i dont want to restore to backup, as this can course problems later with crashing apps, and other weird stuff. i always do a full restore,
i wish i didnt have to but this works best for me.

also any tips on getting this to work after restore would be useful,

    thanks

my way, go to private/var/mobile/applications, there youŽll find a lot of folders with the appstore apps, they have a lot numbers and letters, but inside they are. You have to find the app you want to backup, the save files are in documents folder. I did this way because i didnŽt want to restore from itunes, and also if you donŽt want to lose your addressbook, sms or safaribookmarks, these files are in private/var/mobile/library , there youŽll find the respective folders with data inside.
