apps icons from Appstore

hye.
i went on a web site last week and i can't remember the name.
it has all the Applications icons of the Appstore.
because cracked apps have wrong icons, they don't look like the real ones.
hacked apps icons look like squares, they are not roundness like the ones we can find on the Appstore.
if someone knows this web site, it would be great.

please dont download cracked apps; and even if u do; dont talk about it...

its not just cracked apps that those crappy square icons, ive downloaded some off the appstore that are the same way. even some ive payed for.
surely if your paying $3-$9 plus, you should at lest get a decent looking icon,
thats just plain lazy.

Thats because when you install an app from App Store then the iphone OS modifies the icon for it by putting a mask on it.

If you SSH up a cracked app this process is skipped.

i noticed it too for hacked apps (i wanted to test them out before buying) that the icons are square-ish. i tried to ssh the downloaded nice looking icons into the application's folder and respring, but the original ugly icon is still the same. oh well. i'll just buy the app to get the nice looking one.

Yes, In the payload for any .ipa, a function is called to shine and round the icon. When the app is installed, iTunes and the App Store both look for these instructions and apply them as needed.
