Could someone convert these two fonts into iPhone fonts??

The meaning is that i just can add them to my font folder and use them, without having to replace any font, so the font also applies onto other situations.
Am i right if i say that's possible when you convert the font?

Thanks a lot in advance for converting!

MarketFelt as System Font

Hi Brinzei,

Thanks for all these fonts. I like the Nokia 60 a lot! But I was wondering how I can make MarketFelt as my System Font. I love its look on the Notepad, and would really love it even more if I see it everywhere in my iPhone.

Please please help.. much appreciated!

Mel

I guess this can be done by theming the application (Winterboard?). There are some sections on this forum for that.

MarkerFelt has a limited Unicode coverage, lacks italics, but I guess it can look cool. Here it is. Replace Helvetica.ttf and HelveticaBold.ttf in /System/Library/Fonts/Cache and restart Springboard. Please make backups, don't ask me for originals. Thanks.

Note: The alternate version swaps MarkerFeltThin with MarkerFeltWide. If you want only MarkerFeltThin on he phone, take Helvetica.ttf from MarkerFelt as system font.zip and take HelveticaBold.ttf from MarkerFelt as system font (alternate version).zip. Sorry if it sounds confusing.

If very bad things happen (Spinning Wheel Of Death, hehe), remember that you can still acces your phone through SSH (if you have OpenSSH installed, that is) and repair things. It auto connects to WiFi for approx 3 min, you have plenty of time

TraitMappings

Actually, you must also add it to TraitMappings, like this:

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
    <key>Names</key>
    <dict>
        ...
        <key>BerlinSmallCaps</key>
        <string>/System/Library/Fonts/Cache/BerlinSmallCaps.ttf</string>
        ...
    </dict>
    ...
    <key>TraitMappings</key>
    <dict>
        ...
        <key>BerlinSmallCaps</key>
        <dict>
            <key>Plain</key>
            <string>BerlinSmallCaps</string>
        </dict>
        ...
    </dict>
</dict>
</plist>
Try that.

okay, i see what you mean. thanks...

ps. here something that happened, i copied the file back without a compile (?) and after that nothing with text worked, meaning i could not email, text, etc. you get the idea.. copied the original back & all was good again, so i guess i also need to find out how to re-compile.

You mean the edited CGFontCache.plist (ASCII/XML) did not work? Maybe you have some spelling or formatting errors in it, because I never bothered to convert it back to binary and it works in ASCII without problems.

thanks again.... yes, i changed what you suggested, copied the file back to the iPhone, as well as the font.

here's my CGFontCache.plist: http://apple.roeiboot.com/public/CGFontCache.plist, maybe you can quickly check for errors.

nobody can help ? hard to believe off & on i have been messing with this since tuesday (friday today :])
