I just pwned it and im trying to SSH into it and upload my SMS and Address back ups that i backed up from my 1st gen iphone but i cant find the locations where im supposed to upload the files.

Hey bro, you know all you have to do is sync the phone with Itunes and it will place those back for you.

i know, but the thing is i went on a vacation and i didnt plan on selling the phone over there... so when i left home.. i didnt bother to sync my phone so the backed up data on my comp is about 10 days old..

well, maybe I'm stupid but shouldn't those stuff be on the exact same position as on the iPhone 2G? Since they are running the same firmware ...

on old iPhones it's in /private/var/mobile/Library/SMS
and callHistory is in
/private/var/mobile/Library/CallHistory

guess it should be there on the 3G as well ... ;-)
