So I hear some kind of app is being released tonight that will allow you to change the wallpaper/background of the homepage.

the titlebar is named FSO_BG.png
this file is the titlebar for the desktop.

both SBDockBG.png and FSO_BG.png are in the springboard folder under /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app

edit and replace those files and you have your new theme. after you do it once it feels pretty easy. i think i've made about 6 seperate ones now. still can't wait for summerboard to come out though... (guess i literally COULDN'T wait....)

i use SpringRoll for the icons - customize couldn't convince me.

i guess i am missing something? where is this file? do you just use the attachment in your post?

jap, you need the 3rd file in the attachment of the post.

ok sorry for more questions but im in the process of working through this. do i put my background over the snow-scape picture he has there and leave the redish-pinkish area alone? i just right-clicked and saved the 3rd image attachment in his post and opened in photoshop, am i on the right track here?

I got mine done following all steps listed on your guide (which application do you guys use to take screenshots of the iPhone? I want to post mine

I did try to do the same to the first icon on my second page; however, when i slide to the second page, i see the brown from the template used and only 3 out of my 6 icons show. (so i just left the background on the first page

So i figured out how to do screenshots and cant believe how easy it was LOL...

Also, here's what i was talking about. When added the background/icon.png to my first page it looked like the screenshot above, but once i did the same for my second page. My first page looked like this:



and my second page, like this:



so since I coudlnt figured out what the problem was, i just went back to only keeping the background for my first page and leaving my next 2 pages with untouched (black/default background)

Dude this wont work for me i have a ipod touch. i just can,t get the picture to be in the right spot. HELP ME
