PLZ does any1 know how to change the status bar color

Just D/L and alter the color to your liking with photoshop (or photoshop like) application. If u dont have them u can find them in the original iPhone files in the d/l section here. the names of the files are FSO_BG.png & FST_BG.png

I tried that but when i try to open the file with adobe photoshop it says it can't. What should i do?

From what I heard, Apple uses a non-standard/proprietary png format on the iPhone. It may take some messing to get them to edit/function correctly.

I have been trying the same thing Have you had any luck with it? I am using CS4 and can not get them to open

Here are all 3 decoded. You can open them in Photoshop or any image editing software now.

Edit: It is supposed to be only a few pixels wide because the iPhone or iPod automatically stretches it to fit the screen so try and keep them the sizes that they are.

Do you know of somewhere I can get the pixel sizes for other things I can modify. I am pretty new at this, but I think if I have the correct size and just rename the file it should work. Do you know of a place that hase all of the sizes? Thanks again you have been a big help

No, it is actually 5 wide by 20 high. The iPhone automatically stretches it to 320. Basically you put in the pattern and it just takes care of the rest.

Actually, 320x20 IS an acceptable size for the status bar, the device will accept either...
