    Default Edit .Strings

    I need to edit a .Strings file outside of the Iphone.

    I'm running windows.

    When i open the file in notepad. the code is not correctly generated.

    You have to use this converter to be able to Read it in notepad normal.

    once i've edited the file I do i just upload. or rename the extention. .plist and delete .strings

    It only converts it to make it readable. It should be saved as is with the current name and you overwrite the existing file. If it was a .strings file, then you must leave it as a strings file. If it was a plist file, then leave it as a plist file...

    Google for pledit. A very simple Windows based plist editor. Easy to find. Change the .strings extension to .plist, edit and save the file, change it back to .strings. You're done.

    Just right-click it. Scroll over to "Open With" and click "Notepad". If it doesn't come up, go to OTHER and click Notepad. WordPad works too.
