Default Running a script from an icon?
Does anyone know how I would go about running a shell script from an icon? I tried to just make a zyz.app folder and put the script in it (with the default files that are in all the app folders) renaming the .sh script as .app but it didn't work. Any help would be appreciated!

Okay after I read your post I just have to type this...

Um yeah, that's a good way to do it if you want it NOT to work.

Again, I'm sorry but I had a flashback to a "Nick Burns, you company's computer guy" SNL skit... cracked me up... okay...

    Easy way, maybe:
Install and get the Terminal app working, except name the folder zyz.app
Next edit the Info.plist in the zyz.app folder so it has "Terminal <zyz.sh" on the "CFBundleExecutable" string

You also have to make sure you CHMOD on your .sh file to allow execution.

Good luck and sorry for messin' with yah.
Update I have not been able to get it to work. However if you d/l iDecor you can revise the iDecor app. It's just a text (script) file.

Hmm... I've already got Terminal, NES and VRecord working but for some reason I can't get your suggestion to work. Ah well. I really need to learn how to compile apps for the iPhone I guess. In the interim, I've posted my script file (a Screen Swapper called iSwap.sh) in the downloads area. Maybe someone can app-it up!

Okay, it basically gives you an alternate desktop that you can populate with more apps giving you roughly twice the space for icons/apps. I've put an app-ized version up in the download section. I also put together a demo video. You can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLqG1-XR1ug&v3

Okay download the "iDecor" app and add your script code in the file named iDecor.
