I tryed upping any of those springboards with iPhoneBrowser v1.4.0.0 and get nothing but stuck at that apple screen when reboot. I'm with Rogers and would like to change my carrier img. Everywhere on these forums people shout to change the permissions to 0755 but no where on these forums dose anyone actually say how to, and what program they're actually using to do this(I have used the search button looking for the an answer for a week now).

I do it in WinSCP. Right click on the file/Properties/Change the permission under "Octal" to 0755.

Ya, I got WinSCP but have not the slightest clue how to use it.

How do I find my Host name/port.... Username and passworded?(I don't have a wireless router at home)

download Squid from installer, it's the simplest way. Do a search.

That will show you how to use the programs. It is meant for squid, but about half way down on the first page shows what mobilfinder.app looks like with permissions set to 0755.

Plus I must agree that search does work wonders. Although you do need to know exactly what you are searching for, or it gets a litte confusing, so I feel your pain brother.

Hope this helps, and you can only use WinSCP with a wireless router, and the username "root" and password "alpine".

Ya I was looking at that Squid program but, if I upload the springboard I pointed out in the 1st post with iPhoneBrowser then restart my phone, get stuck at the apple screen. I don't see any possible way of setting the permission to 0755, or even if I use Squid before I restart dose it even have access to the springboard's permissions settings?

Yes, you need to put the file on the phone with something (iPhoneBrowser, WinSCP, whatever) then change the permissions before you restart the phone.

Squid or MobileFinder or MobileTerminal will work fine for that.

In MobileFinder, you must change some settings to allow you to modify the file (turn off Application Launch and turn on Show System Files should do it). Just turn on all three Exec buttons when modifying the SpringBoard file.
