I can't silence the iphone ringer due to a file mod

Hi, I have a problem as stated in the title of this thread. I cannot silence my ringer after following this guide: http://limitededitioniphone.com/low-...-steps-to-fix/. I have restored my iphone and this did not solve the problem. I cannot seem to find the original volume files anywhere, because I think would solve the problem. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

edit: The wordy is a little off, so let me reiterate. I know you can silence the ring from a phone call, but it doesn't silence the actual ring from still occuring. For example, I cannot get an alarm to simply vibrate, or for a particular game to be silent. The weird thing is that sometimes, it goes to zero, but then when I increase then decrease it again, it gets stuck.

edit (solved): Apparently, it can never go to zero, so I guess there is no problem, except for the fact that I can't do what I want.

edit: Here is a photo of the problem. It stays at one bar no matter how many times I press the lower volume button.
