Can I mount a virgin iPhone (O2 UK) as a drive in OSX?

Ideally I'd like to mount the iphone as a drive in OSX and perform a DD bit-copy of the data on the drive. I understand that its possible on jailbroken ones, but the delicacies of which I'm unsure of.

If someone could help me with this, I would very much appreciate it.
