ringtone volume

hi
im on 1.1.4 using iphonebrowser on vista to access the files on my iphone. i have been searching through the forum but have had no luck. i was wondering if anyone knows how to make the ringtone volume louder without poking a hole in the speakers. i remember reading somewhere about changing the value of one of the iphone files to a higher number, but i cannot remember where i read it. if anyone knows what to change and where it is and how i change it, i would really appreciate it.
