A little help Please

Hello, I am still learning all this but need some help.Need to disable edge.I've read that BossPrefs will do that.I have downloaded the installer.app but not sure what to do with it.Also where do I get BossPrefs? Would be greatly appreciated if someone could help a noob with this.
