HELP! my SETTINGS is not working!!!!!

hello

i installed the advanced preferences through WinSCP. i played around with the new settings like the face signal/time and the dim settings.

before i installed i backed up my preferences.app folder.

i decided to not use the advanced one and SSH'd the backup i made of preferences.app. i respring the springboard, clicked settings and it just crashes.

i reboot and it still crashes.

i set permissions to 777 and it still crashes.

Please help me!

i don't want to have to Restore my iPhone and reinstall all the apps and all the modications i've done cause it'll take me days to get it back to the way it was.

what am i doing wrong to get my settings working again?

update....problem fixed.

i SSH'd the backup i made. and set permissions to all the files to 775.
