Thread: Change shell?
07-31-2007, 09:30 AM #1Change shell?
I saw a forum post or page on the iPhone Dev Wiki, or somewhere that showed how to change the shell to "bash".
But I cannot find it anywhere. Does anyone have or know of the link?
Secondly...what is the difference from running dropbear vs. ssh2 binaries that were compiled?

I did everything like the wiki said.
But whenever I open terminal using Bash, the terminal hangs after the any first command.
I tried updgrading Terminal.app to all versions avaliable but not success.
Tried with csh and everything works fine.

1. goto /var/root
2. create a file called .profile
3. edit .profile with pico or your favorite text editor the file should contain this info:
# Load /bin/bash when Mobile Terminal starts.
5. restart Terminal or type source .profile
Thats it!!! i still dont know how to get .bash_profile working when you start the bash shell. let me know if you can shed some like
