Mail App Check Time
Anybody have any ideas on getting the Mail App modified so it will check for mail more often then 15 minutes. I would really prefer if I could get it to check for new mail every 5 minutes.
Hints / Ideas?

I'm guessing its in System/Library/PreferenceBundles/MobileMailSettings.bundle/MobileMailSettings, although its not just a simple value, it'd be some major hacking to get it working.
It would KILL your battery life, too.

Any hints on what you have found???
Now I am excited...
I am not worried about my battery time, and I went the path of forwarding my Exchange mail to a Yahoo "push" but that just wasn't working for me as I would receive a mail and then would have to go over to my exchange account and reply to it from that account so the REPLY TO would be correct.

no it didnt work. because the mailprefbundle thing only has an info.plist so I tried editing the localizble.strings and it failed. sorry everyone
ill continue to look into it and keep you posted. Maybe someone else has an idea of where to go from here...

I'd like to see MANUAL pull really mean MANUAL and only check when you ask it to rather then setting it to MANUAL and then it goes out and checks when you go into your inbox.

Found an easy solution to this issue:
Located on the iPhone in the directory:
/private/var/root/Library/Preferences
is a file called: com.apple.mobilemail.plist
Inside this plist is a listing named AutoFetchInterval Change this to read how long you want between checks in minutes. I set mine to 5 minutes and it is working great.
This will not give you an option of 5 minutes under Mail preferences, but make sure you are configured for Manual in Mail preferences and then make the change to the plist. Restart your iPhone and boom, you will be checking mail at your configured interval.

Can someone post an example of what the text string that is suppose to be modified looks like before and after... e.g. AutoFetchInterval^TableOffsetKey_ PlaySentMailSound_ = AutoFetchInterval5 TableOffsetKey_ PlaySentMailSound_
Thank you.
