    Default Country Code Brackets on 1.1.1
    hi, how do I remove them? I'm on unlocked virgin 1.1.1.
    On 1.0.2 I simply replaced the ABPhoneFormats.plist.

    yes must be a method, as is released for states and here in my country looks stupid and anoying

    i did ask this before, but figure out a solution later.
    so here's it.
    settings -> general -> international -> region format
    choose 'Australia'

    there you go, no need for uploading any files.

    Don't have any menu item called international on my unlocked 1.1.1 WTF

    Navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app, the M68AP.plist file is in there, open that up with BBEdit or UltraEdit and change the <false/> under <key>international</key> to <true/>
    Then you can change the locale in General Settings

    So you can use my method above or if you just wish to manually hack it:
    In firmware v1.1.1 the address book formats file is now located in /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/PhoneFormats/UIPhoneFormats.plist

    bit of a noob using osx so

    Q do you edit the file directly? or download/edit/upload ??
