    Default Photo Library Location
    does anyone know where the photo library is located when in iphoneinterface,,, im not home and i want to add more pix to it

    You can find a lot of image locations here
    and of course i read it and its not there >.< the location is:
    /System/Library/Frameworks/PhotoLibrary.framework/Library.png

    no not of image locations... the actual location of my photo library

    ic well, i would venture a guess and say
    /var/root/Library/<photos or something?>/

    but that would be a total guess

    You might want to try:


    /private/var/root/Media/DCIM/100APPLE

    It seems to store the photo & a thumbnail too.

    Note that this is for photos taken by the iPhone only. The Photo Library is not stored here. (I don't know where it is yet)

    On 1.1.1/2: private/var/root/Media/Photos (database)
    On 1.1.3/4: private/var/mobile/Media/Photos

    on 2.0.2 its in private/var/mobile/media/DCIM/100APPLE

    You'd need an application for that (a MobileSubstrate plugin), because by default the Photo viewer doesn't go further than one level of folders -- the folders that are directly in your "My Pictures" folder on your (Windows) computer.
    Windows tool to edit .plist, .strings and .nib files: pledit.
    Or use a website that will convert the binary form to a readable format.
    On iPhone you can convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities from Cydia), or edit them with iFile (from Cydia).

    /var/mobile/Library/AddressBook/AddressBookImages.sqlitedb.

    It's an SQLite database. There are several programs (and a Firefox extension) that can extract the photos from it.

    On new 3.0 firmware I found it at: /private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100APPLE

    100APPLE and 99APPLE are the camera roll pics, what about the pictures in the photo library ?? Where are they stored in iPhone?
