E sign near operator logo

I accidentally enable edge on Motorola V560 and when I get back to iphone, the "E" sign won't go off. What should I do? Should I call my service provider to disable Edge? Is there other way? I have searched the same cases but I didn't find the exact answer I want. I don't use Edge and I just don't want that "E" sign near my operator logo.

Help !!

Install "Services" via installer. You can disable EDGE service.

yes..do you have a unlimited data plan? if you do your fine. if not turn edge off with the services .app..and i feel sorry for you if you dont..i see emails in your pic..lol

So does that mean although I'm not using.. the data is transferring in the background or leaking? wasting my money if I turn that on 24/7? I'm sorry I'm noob with Edge. no experience.

I've set up my GPRS/EDGE settings here and as long as I don't use any apps that require an internet connection it never pulls data off the network..
