    Default Demo.app and Fieldtest.app
The fieldtest.app is used to see nearby towers and signal strengths from what i read. Is anyone 100% sure what the demo.app does. exNavy had mentioned video output. This very well could be but has anyone tested. I need pictures if possible. I will be very greatful if anyone could help.

I read the same thing on exnavy's site. This is my first apple product so I am without a video dock. I am also very curious about this. Has anyone that changed the springboard.plist launched the demo app?

movie must be called demo.mov (unconfirmed but working in ONLY h.264)

    movie goes into /private/var/root

it will play in a constant loop

usefulness? none really, just nice to see it working

well i think the real reason for this app was when it was put on display... like at the keynote when it was released. no one was touching it, but it was stil showing a "demo". hence, the forever-looping video.

they just took video of the iphone and displayed it for people to see.
