internet tethering probleme

and i cant find my internet tethering in the settings...:(:(:(

i have just bought an used iphone 3g from ebay.. after i received my iphone, i found out that there is a screen lock.. then i contacted the seller, but he said he forgot the password...WT....

so i restored my iphone...but now i dont know how to unlock it so i can use it on my t-mobile carrier..

sup guys

i have a 16g 3g iphone with a 3.1.2 firmware running..i restore my fone recently like a couple of days with blackra1n and i found out that for some reason it wont let me put some songs on my iphone..so the easy way around was to restore it and jailbreak it with blackra1n again..but for some reason it would let me restore my iphone now the error says "ITUNES HAS DETECTED AN IPHONE IN RECOVERY MODE.
YOU MUST RESTORE THIS IPHONE BEFORE IT CAN BE USED WITH ITUNES" but i couldnt access the restore button..XP windows pc

i did all the tricks to let phone restore..the relocating the usb cable to other port and etc..still it wont let me..it even detected the usb and itunes logo but there no were to be found the restoring button..

So I have an old 1st gen iPhone running 2.4.something firmware. I haven't updated in ages simply because I didn't want the hassle of re-jailbreaking and unlocking my phone.

Anyway, it's about time for me to update. I've heard that you can only unlock and jailbreak the iphone 3.0 firmware, does anyone know where I can get that firmware? And maybe a guide to get it all done? I know there are guides here but they don't explain where to get 3.0 firmware.

I just finished jailbreaking and unlocking with blackrain. my mms wasnt working and after reading around for a bit i was able to fix it by downloading T-Mobile US carrier Postpaid/Flexpay from Tweaks in Cydia. now after installing and restarting, everytime i try to save a picture for a contact it saves it for a sec then as soon as i go back to the home screen it erases it as soon i try and open up the contact again. :confused::confused:

Ok heres the situation, i got my iPhone 2g 3.12 from a friend and I went to my local store which is ATMC which i guess is a reseller or something, well they said AT&T is not allowing them to activate anymore 2Gs on their service so i got a 3g. So i have the SIM card and I need to unlock the phone from saying different SIM card please connect, I have tried BlackRa1n then Boot neuter and it says its unlocked but still pops up.....please help....and with some decently detailed instructions (<<<^M^O^R^O^N>>>) on board here lol

Hi all, hope you can advise me please :)

I have a jailbroken, unlocked 3G, currently on 3.0 firmware with 4.26.08 baseband. I only have access to Windows XP.

My question is, can I jailbreak to firmware 3.1 (not 3.1.2) using custom firmware with iTunes 8.2 on Windows XP... and then, will I be able to unlock (for an unauthorized carrier) using ultrasn0w, successfully?

I have seen a lot of different problems, especially with Windows users, and I don't want to risk turning my iPhone into an iPod Touch! :D

All advice/help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi, I have Iphone 3G ver. 3.0- modem firmware 4.26. It's been Jail-broken for several months. I want to update the iphone. Here is what I'd like to know.
-Before I do anything, what's the best way to save all my Apps not just apple & cydia apps so I can retrieve them after update & Blackrain? (anything other than Pkgbackup & Aptbackup)?
-I have Diskaid & it works great for moving files on/off phone. Can I use it to store my apps then reload them later. That would be easy!
-What are the best steps to take in order to Update & Unlock with Blackrain? I want to ask before I do anything wrong. Here is what I "Think" I'm supposed to do.

1-Backup current phone
2-Back up my current Apps (somehow)
3-Run 3.1.2 Firmware Update from Itunes 9.
3-After Update get Blackrain & Unlock.
4-Somehow retrieve Apps from storage.

Does this sound correct? Am I missing anything. Any advice would be great! Thanks!!

i have all ready jailbreak the i phone and unlocked it! but i still cant make phone calls and text. I am using a t-mobile sim i am getting full signal but still cant make or receive calls as well as text. i have been wondering if the iphone is blocked but i am not sure how i can tell. anyone got any ideas on how to fix this??

i have a xx44 iphone and i'm very happy that geohot helped us all to unlock this version, but also very tired of keep having to reconnect and use blackrain, i was on the rd today and my iphone freezed up on me( happen to everybody) and yes i had to reboot and i was stuck on recovery mode for about 50 mins in traffic...will there be a fix? or patch?? please help ..i wish i'm a dev who can help people make this patch but i'm not...:(

I'm not sure it will come with a sim card, but I plan on taking the sim card out of my BB and going from there. Is this the first thing I do? Can you even go onto itunes without a sim card? I had unlocked my iphone 3gs using GeoHot's Blacksnow and had all sorts of difficulties. Lost Push Notifications, lost wifi, etc.
I tried started from scratch by reinstalling Iphone 3.12 firmware. When I do that do I lose my unlock. I'm with AT&T don't have a Tmobile sim so there is no way to test if its unlocked?

FYI, once I reinstalled 3.12, I then reinstalled any Apple App that had push notifications prior to Re-Jailbreaking. That fixed all my push notification apps. Seems unlocking is what breaks the push notifications, not jailbreaking.

Hi everyone

I jailbroke my iPhone 3G (OS 3.1.2) using blackra1n and unlocked using blacksn0w. The problem is when I enter my sim from a different carrier, i get the message "Different SIM detected" "please connect to iTunes" (and ofcourse connecting to iTunes doesn't help).
I ran blackra1n and sn0w again without any sim in the iphone (so that blackra1n might hacktivate it) but afterwards the new sim still wont work. The phone starts working when I enter my O2 sim.

I would be very grateful if anyone can help me.

Trying To Decide The Best Way To Upgrade My Firmware From 3.0 to 3.2.1 - Help Please

I am running Firmware 3.0 on a regular 3G iPhone with baseband 04.26

I am a PC user, and, in the past, I was doing the firmware upgrades using the PC based tools that were coming out from Dev-Team. But since the release of Firmware 3.2.1, it seems they have not come out with any new tools to upgrade the Firmware to 3.2.1 without upgrading the baseband along with it to 05.11.

At this point, I really want to upgrade to 3.2.1 because I am having so many hangs and crashes running 3.0 and it is becoming tedious to even use my phone at all at times.

But I don�t want to use the regular method of the iTunes upgrade to 3.2.1 and then apply the blacksn0w unlock because then I will be stuck with the 05.11 baseband, which doesn�t seem like a good idea from what I have been told.

So my only other option I believe in order to upgrade to 3.2.1. without upgrading the baseband to 05.11 is to do it via a Mac computer using PwnageTool 3.1.4 , is this correct?

Assuming the above is correct, then I would attempt to borrow a friends Mac to do it with since I don�t own one. And in this case I have a few more questions:

1 � If I use PwnageTool on my friend�s Mac computer to update the firmware on my iPhone from 3.0 to 3.2.1 will I still be able to sync my iPhone with my own iTunes on my own PC computer?

2 � Since I never used PwangeTool before, I am wondering if it requires iTunes to be installed on the Mac in order to complete the Firmware upgrade process?

3 � Are there any easy to follow step by step instructions to doing the firmware upgrade with PwangeTool 3.1.4? What I read on the Dev-Team blog is a bit confusing to me and I want to avoid making any dangerous mistakes.

4 - Will I need to download an .ipsw somewhere first in order to do the Firmware upgrade using Pwange Tool and, if so, what version .ipsw should I download and where is the best place to get it?

Sorry for all the questions, but anyone who has a moment to help answer my questions would be much appreciated.

well last night i was downloading some apps at cydia for my 16g 3g version 3.0 with jailbreak by redsn0w..so i downloaded at cydia the app for making 5 icon in your dock..after download it..so i press home and just to check if the app worked..after pressing home i notice that my service in my iphone suddenly lost its signal..so i reboot it like anybody who actually do..but for some reason it wont load anymore :confused:.. so i think the reason maybe i download a wrong version of app for my iphone..i just dont have any clue on how to fix it..needs help so bad :confused:

Unlocking my phone (Again)

I just bricked my 2G. . . No biggie, I can restore it all back. But the reason for my bricking was that I was trying to find a way to activate MMS in 3.0 that I downloaded out of the download section here. . . It just did not have an option to enter my APN info, no matter what I did. So, I found something called Native something. . . Then it was bricked when I finished the istall.

I just want to have MMS within SMS. . . Does anyone have a good firmware to use? I really don't want to brick it again. . . .

I followed the procedure to setup wifi with the pdanet app,but when I set up my laptop for a adhoc connection,it request a network key,which I thought you could type in anything easy to remember, I get a window that says ( The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters.) Can anyone tell me what this means. Thanks.

I recently bought a used iphone 2g (3.1.2) off of a friend who had an AT&T contract. When i turned it on, the iphone brought me to the spring board, so i know that the activation on the phone is still good. I do want to jailbreak and unlock the phone.

My question is: If i want to preserve push, do all i have to do is uncheck "activate the phone" in pwnage tool?

Hi,
I am in Belgium. My carrier is Base. My device is iphone 2g. (FW 3.1.2). Everything was fine untill I updated my mobile substrate on 9 nov 09 to the latest version(0.9.3087-1). I cannot make or receive a call after updating. It was just fine before installing mobile substrate. After installing mobile substrate I rebooted the device. Then it took a little longer than usual to get my carrier name. But when i tried to make a call it took a long time hanging and then i get �call failed�. Even though i could make a call sometimes but most of the time its not calling. And receiving a call doesn't work at, people are getting my voice mail.

Then I have jailbroken and unlocked it twice (today) with the latest PwangeTool 3.1.4. and restored it with the custom FW. So my baseband is still 04.05.04_G but I'm still having the same problem. Now my carrier is 'searching' for network for most of the time.

Some one please help me fixing this! Please!!!!

Hello all,

I unlocked my old 2G iphone, and it is still running OS version 2.something. The unlocked was working perfectly as I previously used a foreign SIM card for several months while I was traveling out of the USA. Anyways, back at home, I have a 3GS now, and I decided I want to give the phone to my dad to use.

He puts his at&t sim in the slot, but for some reason it is giving me the emergency and "connect to itunes" screen....seems like it wants to be activated. He does not want to use a data plan, so would rather not sign up for a contract.

Anyone have any idea what is going on here? It is supposed to be unlocked, so I'm not sure why it is asking for activation. The SIM is pretty old - not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I upgraded from 3.0.1 to 3.1.2 then jailbroke and unlocked my wifes 2G using blackra1n and BootNeuter. The baseband remained at 04.05.04_G. Can I downgrade from 3.1.2 back to 3.0.1? She wants her MMS back and the EnableMMS2G doesnt seem to be anywhere around and probably isnt compatible with 3.1.2 anyway. Please help, I'm kind of new at this.

will there ever be a hack for 05.09 bootloader?

i have tmobile, and yesterday my friend offered me a white 3g 16gb (3.1.2, 05.11.07, 05.09) he bought from dubai. i bailed it out with blackra1n and i tried to unlock it with blacksn0w but due to the 05.09 bootloader it won't unlock, so its pretty much an itouch. anyone know if fuzzy will release a downgrader for 05.09 soon, or should i forget about it, ive spent the past two days messing with this and would like to get back to playing cod 2.

I just bought a 2G iphone off ebay and I have some questions about using Tmobile with it. I alredy know how to unlock it blackrain>bootneuter.

1.If I use SMS to text someone and I dont have a texting plan with tmobile will I be charged per text?

2. since I dont have a data plan I can still text while connected to WIFI? Will I be charged for it even though I'm on WIFI?

3. Will I only be charged for texts if I use SMS? Can I use a 3rd party texting app and not get charged for texts?

I wonder if the 3.1.2 (Full from itunes with BB 5.11) upgrade the iBoot of my iphone 3gs (3.0+jailbeak+ultrasnow).

Because I've read that some people have the problem with the news iphone/ipod that that this new iboot and whenever they restart their ipod/iphones has to run againg blackrain.

If I upgrade, that will happen to me?.

I have been given an 2g Iphone 8gb to unlock, it is using baseband 4.05.04g and I have it jailbroken on 3.0(7A341). When I go to use bootneuter however it comes up with the error

"Error
Couldn't talk to the bootloader.

This may be due to
a CommCenter collision,
so BootNeuter will exit."

And I cant get it past this error, any ideas?

Pwnage 3.1.2 unlock SMS - text messages not working

I'm on a 2G iPhone and couldn't receive or send sms text messages after upgrading to 3.1 and then 3.1.2.
Initially after the upgrade texting worked fine, but after restoring the iPhone backup in iTunes, sending a text in the Message application would quit to the desktop.
Also, if I deleted message "conversations" (either using Edit or swiping and deleting a text message) and then quit the Message application, on re-opening Messages the sms threads would be back. They simply wouldn't delete!
A solution that is working (for me anyway) was:
1/. Use Cydia to install OpenSSH on the iPhone.
2/. Use CyberDuck on the Mac and go to /User/Library/SMS and copy sms.db to the Mac Desktop as a backup.
3/. Take a deep breath then delete sms.db on the iPhone (Option+click then select delete)
3/. Restart iPhone. All SMS conversations are gone but texting works.
However, just for the heck of it I then copied the old sms.db back from the Mac desktop to /User/Library/SMS and rebooted the iPhone - the result was that all old conversations were back AND texting worked again!

Upgraded to 3.1.2 and lost unlock/jailbreak.

WIFI NEVER WORKED, so i had to jailbreak and unlock offline, using pwnage & Diskaid/blacksn0w...

Everything seems to be fine, i am jailbroken (cydia on springboard) and unlocked through DiskAid (added blacksnow etc to iphone through that)

YET, i still have NO BARS!

Tmobile sim card is in the phone

- Tried taking it out
- Tried resetting network settings

What else can i do? Please help!

I have a 2g iphone on 3.1.2 firmware. I used blackra1n to jailbreak and bootneuter to unlock but its still saying different sim card, connect to itunes. It has my tmobile cariier in the upper leeft with bars. When I slide for emergency I can dial any phone number and make a call, but it won't let me do anything else. Any suggestions?? now after geting to the 3.1.2 fm, got it Jailbroken with blackra1n,
now here the tough thing, cant use my wifi, im connected but no internet on the DHCP adresse it starts with 169..., tried everything restore back to 3.0.1 or 3.1 gettind the error 1600,
tried to reset the network setting same prob,
used the ultrasnow with no wifi file nothing,
please i need help realy waiting for an answer with a procedure on Windows , by the way im using Windows 7,

I've recently acquired a T-Mobile SIM card from a friend, and I was looking to activate it to give my iPhone a data plan. (I've been using the iPhone as basically an iPod Touch since I bought it from a friend) I've never had a phone before so I don't know much about this stuff at all.

I'm not interested in voice or text, just data. I don't care if it's edge.

Trouble with Bootneuter/Blackra1n

Modem Firmware: 4.05.04_g

- I downloaded and installed blackra1n onto my Iphone then ran the program
- Upon doing so i downloaded and installed Cydia onto my phone as well.
- I then downloaded and installed Bootneuter
- I turned my phone's setting to "never" in lock, then hit "Flash" on Bootneuter. Once I hit flash a popup comes up and says "Nothing to do"
- I then took out the AT&T sim card and placed my T-Mobile Sim card into the Iphone. The Iphone then says the Sim is invalid for the phone and i need to connect to Itunes...what am i doing wrong? why isnt my phone unlocked?

Secondly, If i am unable to unlock my phone is there a way to restore it to its original condition now that Blackra1n, Cydia, and Bootneuter are installed?

Please be stepwise in your response and thorough. Thanks ahead of time =)

I Used Blackra`n to do JB + UNL...on 3.1.2 5.7 BT on 3G......
Everything worked fine exceppt GPS and Youtube and EDGE.,,
Installed PushFix...and EDge worked fine and GPS..Except Youtube.
Now I`ve noticed that the EDGE (ip address) loses Connection even if I`m on Nimbuzz set Away..but when I`m on BeeJive it Stays with an ip from EDGE.

Before everything worked fine on 3.0 BB 4.6...Hadno problem..since upgraded..now having problem..
Could this be the PUSHFIX??? or BLACKRA1N?

If any1 could have an answer would be nice!!

With the new jailbreak and unlock method out now, i just wanted to make sure that this was not required. You can use your tmaoble SIM WITHOUT this adapter.

Well this is a peculiar problem I've been facing with a particular Iphone. I've unlocked more than a dozen phones till date using blacksn0w/blackrain...But Today, I came across this iphone and my friend has challenged me for a 100$ If I can unlock this. After looking at the baseband, I thought like he must be crazy, But no matter what I did, After a reboot the iphone is going back to recovery mode automaticaly :( Has anyone faced such a problem so far with blackrain? The issue here is clearly with blackrain, even a fresh restore to the official firmware 3.1.2 and then jailbreak won't work too :( Can't understand what seems to be the problem I'm just unable to reboot normally. Everytime I reboot after jailbreaking the phone is going back into the recovery mode ( connect to Itunes picture)

Please through some light on this if anyone faced such issue.

Yesterday i used blackra1n to jailbreak my iphone 3gs 3.1.2 and installed cydia and rock, and used blacksn0w to unlock using cydia. After i jailbroke and ulocked my iphone the wifi stopped working , remind it was working fine when i jailbroke it an right after i installed cydia an rock it stopped so i did some research and read something about rock that it has a bug or something, so i went and uninstalled the rock app from cydia and woila everything is back to normal , wifi is working beautifully.

Hope this helps because i know thats its really annoying that wifi doesnt work.

I have a SIM-locked iPhone 3G from T-Mobile. After I bought it, I activated the iPhone via iTunes with its original SIM-Card from T-Mobile. After the iPhone was activated I jailbreaked and unlocked it with Pwnage.

On my last restore I don�t care about the SIM-card and let my prepaid SIM-card in the iPhone, but all functions fine. :)

Is it better to restore, jailbreak and unlock the iPhone with:

[ ] original SIM-card?
[ ] no SIM-card?

I want to upgrade my unlocked 3GS's 3.0 firmware to 3.1.2.
I need to unlock the device again after the upgrade. I'm using a PC running on Windows XP.

I've done a lot of reading but haven't found an answer to this query -
Now that blackra1n RC3 is out & can unlock devices with baseband 05.11.07...should I upgrade to the latest firmware using iTunes & get to the new baseband or upgrade using a custom firmware keeping my baseband at 04.26.08?
I read that the unlock when baseband is at 04.26.08 is more reliable & permanent than the blackra1n JB & subsequent unlock by blacksnow at baseband 05.11.07. Is this true?
Or does Pwnage tool 3.1.4 do a better job at the newer baseband & unlock it without issues by ultrasnow?
I can get my friends Macbook & do it.

What should I do? I need to keep my iPhone 3GS unlocked to use it..so require the best unlock solution there is.

However, I need to update from 2.2.1 to 3.1.2 but I don't know the right steps to proceed. Do I update my phone through iTunes first, or is there something else I need to do? Can't Send/Receive SMS

I have an iPhone 2g. I just updated to 3.1.2 using itunes, then jailbroke it using blackra1n. Then I installed custom firmware file built from pwnage tool to unlock the phone.

I can make phone calls and evyerthing, but I can't send/receive SMS. When I write an SMS then tap on "Send" it just closes the whole application and goes back to the home screen.

Help, why is this happening?

Never mind, I fixed the problem. I couldn't send/receive SMS is because when I restored my sms.db backup file, I didn't change the permission to 0777.

Carrier Drops after Unlock

I previously had a 3G(jailbroken) and smashed it to pieces so I bought a 3GS. Used it without jailbreaking/unlocking for a few days then decided to go about personalizing my phone.

I used blackra1n to jailbreak my phone. After jail breaking I decided what the hell, why not unlock as well since Sn0w was so conveniently installed for me.

But since unlocking I've noticed a lot of no network messages randomly in area's i know have good signal otherwise.

I know my phone is picking up on the Bell/Telus GSM network so I've forced the phone to use Rogers Only to see if that helps. I've only experienced one drop off since that and I'm not sure if it was due to the fact the building I was in is bad for cell signal.

Has anyone else experienced random network drops while using Sn0w?

I've got Base Band 5.11.7 and Rogers 5.0 for my carrier.

If others are experiencing similar problems, can I do this to fix it?

I've done a lot of reading already on this subject & there seems to be a lot of conflicting info. One guy on this forum suggested that Apple no longer updates the baseband on the 2G, so not to worry about unlocking it. Does this mean that I can update from iTunes and because the baseband remains the same the phone will remain unlocked? To me, that sounds unlikely.

Here is my current setup:

iPhone 2g 8GB
Version 2.2.1 (5H11)
Modem Firmware (baseband) 04.05.04_G
Phone unlocked & Jailbroken
Current provider is Tmobile

I want to upgrade to the new OS to get the new features such a landscape texting etc.

iTunes installed is 9.0.2.25
Firmware upgrade will be to Version 3.1.2

Question: Considering the above, what combination of tools should I use to achieve a successfully unlocked iPhone on the new OS?
I'm using a windows PC.

This is what I did.

First I used iTunes to update my 3GS to FW3.1.2. Then jailbroke with Blackra1n RC3 which worked great, and used it to install Blacksn0w and Cydia. I use AT&T so didn't need unlock, but did so anyway using because I wanted tethering. Got that working usingthis carrier filem. But as others have found this breaks wifi and push in the process... didn't happen at first and sometimes network reset would band-aid it, but it kept happening and after a few times I couldn't get it working again. So...

Restored using iTunes to FW3.1.2. Repeated Blackra1n RC3 jailbreak. Installed Blacksn0w via Cydia (add http://blackra1n.com as source) rather than Blackra1n then used the above carrier file. End result - same problem. Uninstalled Blacksn0w via Cydia. Wifi & push problem fixed but of course tethering is now broken. To me this confirms that Blacksn0w is the culprit for the wifi & push problem. Seems like Geohot is aware of it and hopefully a revised version of Blacksn0w is forthcoming.

So I add sinfuliphone to my sources in Cydia and install the Enable Tethering 3GS 3.1.2 patch. Rebooted and thought it caused WSOD but after a few minutes springboard finally started. At first it said to contact AT&T when I tried to enable tethering, but after trying again it worked. And Wifi & push are intact.

If you only need tethering and not the unlock/hacktivation, I'd recommend skipping Blacksn0w until Geohot updates it to fix the Wifi & push issues, and use the sinfuliphone patch instead.

How does he go about activating the iphone to be able to jailbreak and use it. We popped in the sim card to his cellphone and it said no supported or not recognized or something.Any Help much appreciated.

I am thinking about restoring and Re-Jailbreaking with PwnageTool instead and then Unlocking with BlackSn0w... Has anyone done this? Do you think this would be better and will fix the Blackra1n problem of WiFi not working? Also I read that Blackra1n isn't a tethered JB unlike PwnageTool?

I have an Iphone 3GS 32gb version running on FW 3.1.2 and BB 05.11.07. I am using an Orange UK Contract sim in it.

I have Jailbroken it using Blackra1n.
I have unlock and Hacktivated it with Blacksn0w.

Everything is fine for a time untill the signal goes completely and wont return without me putting it back into my old phone turning it on getting it to pick up signal then putting it back inside my Iphone.

As you can guess this is a real pain.

I have redone a fresh install of the upgrade 3.1.2 from Itunes. Then reused Blackra1n and snow yet it keeps happening. I have tried turning off my 3g while using ra1n and snow yet still the same. Also have tried resetting network settings and yet still it keeps happening.

Does anyone know away of stopping this so i have constant signal?

Iphone 3g stuck in recovery, won't restore either

I'm having that same issue, can't get the thing out of recovery mode at all. I can get it in DFU mode, but it takes some work. Iphone doesn't have slider bar so I can turn it off conventionally. Any reason why the phone does that? I know the phone got some water in it, it's a friends daughter and she went swimming with it, long story. but it dried out, and seems to be working correctly to some point.

I've tried RainSn0w, it ran said it was done but phone doesn't reboot, and once turned on goes back to connect to itunes screen. I don't have the sims card for this phone currently being used in new phone, so phone is deactivated. I tried with my personal sims but it doesn't work. What da heck to do?

I jailbroke/unlocked my 3GS with Blackra1n and then i installed pushfix and when I rebooted my phone the iPhone won't boot, and it's stuck on the Apple logo. I entered it in DFU mode to restore on iTunes and it won't let me and it says it isn't verified. What should I do next to get it back to booting? I also did a SHIFT + restore and tried to restore it with the 3.1.2 ispw file that i downloaded and it says the firmware is not compatible. Any ideas??

hey guys. ive upgraded my 3gs 3.1 to 3.1.2 and used blackra1n and blacksn0w to jb and unlock it. first i had issues with wifi but geohot statet in his twitter account that resetting network settings would help. and it did. wifi was available. today morning i wanted to use bluetooth but i found out that bow, this isn't available. the toggle switch in the preferences is grey and it says "not available". sb-settings seems to turn bt on but when i look at it again it's off again. do you have any experience with this? any recommondations? thank you....

it was roqybt an app which needs to be licensed. as i didn't it just disabled bluetooth. bloody bad app.

Based on my understand blackra1n + blacksn0w unlocks only 3g & 3gs. Also, I read something about it being a tethered unlock which means I can't restart my phone?

Is there an alternative to the blackra1n + blacksn0w unlock/jailbreak for 3.1.2? If I use Pwnage tool, will it still unlock the latest baseband? Since I am using a Windows, can I jailbreak using blackra1n then restore a custom ipsw file created using Pwnage tool?

What about iPhone 2G? Based on my research, it says that blacksn0w doesn't unlock OS 3.1.2. How do I unlock an iPhone 2G? I read something about using blackra1n to jailbreak then installing Bootneur, but can I use Pwnage tool to unlock 3.1.2 on iPhone 2G?
