copying icons from winscp to iphone

Hello,

I only jailbroke my iphone 3gs last week, i installed the ibox red glow theme but am missing some icons. I have connected to winscp and found the required icons.

How do i transfer the icons onto my phone to replace my old icons?

Was wondering if there is a plist file on the iphone that holds the color information for the icon names and time stamp at the top? I found how to create a plist and use it in Winterboard, but I am avoiding Winterboard. Any ideas?

icon theme

I have just installed bosspaper and want to cycle photos that I have,and would like to keep the default iphone icons,but want them to be transparent so you can see the wallpaper as it transitions through the pictures. Any suggestions on where I might find that kind of icon theme? I don't have Winterboard install because I am hearing of problems with the iphone freezing.Thanks for any help.

I just jailbroke today, and i have been messing with different winterboard themes. I have tried several, and on each it doesn't change my text and app store icons, however, everything else is fine. Now I realize that themes don't have every icon customized, as there are thousands in the app store, however I would think that it would change the default icons that have always been packaged with the phone itself. I've tried several things and am just wondering if anyone has encountered this problem before and what can be done to fix it.

Hiding/Unhiding App Text Names in CategoriesSB

So in my theme, i am using the info.plist in the main folder of my theme to hide non-dock app icon names. However, I do not want this to apply to apps in Categories (for which I am using CategoriesSB). I know CatSB relies on integration with the springboard so I am not sure if there is a way to separate one from the other. Does anyone know of a way to either hide app text names within CategoriesSB only, or to show them but hide on the springboard only, or even to hide on an app by app basis?

I have already tried applying it the info.plist within the Category.app files themselves with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

I still don't see it, when I go to Cydia --> Search on my iPhone...

Kindly let me know what I am missing here??? Or Do you know how long do I have to wait to see the theme on Cydia??? Is there a way to contact Cydia personnel in this regard???

Categories app and themed icons

Hi guys, I recently jailbroke my 3gs and installed a new theme (aero vivid) and the categories app. All icons on my springboard are either customised by the theme and/or have rounded edges with a drop shadow. However, when I transfer the icons into a folder (via the categories app) they tend to lose these edges and always lose the drop shadow. Is this normal and is there a way to fix this? I know it's a bit anal but I did mainly buy my 3gs because it looks nice and I'd like that to continue on my springboard ;)

I recently downloaded a theme for my Ipod and I quite like it but I do not like the backgrounds. Is is a theme with multiple backgrounds (1 for each page). I like one of the backgrounds and was wondering if there is anyway to set that image to be my only background or if I can upload a different image to use as my background.
I have tried going to my photo album and tried to set an image my background but I had not luck.

Dialpad button problems

I made a Dialpad recently and when i tried it, the Callglyph seems to be bigger than the addcontact and delete buttons though i made them in the same size... Why is that?
It may not be bigger, it can be some pixels lower than the rest... I dont know. But once again... :p why is it? How do i fix it?

How do I find the .png name for the apps? (For changing the icon)

I navigate to private/var/mobile/Applications and I find all my installed apps from the Appstore in different folders but I can't find the name for the .png image so I can put it in the theme folder to change the icon for it.

I am currently trying to change the Mail Notifier icon and I have tried tons of different .png names such as:

MailNotifier.png
Notifier.png
mailnotifier.png

and nothing has worked. How can I get the correct naming for it? I would greatly appreciate the help!!!!:)

App Icon Overlay

I edited the calculator icon that's why it works fine,so i was wondering if app icon overlay can take the whole icon not just the center part as you can see in the picture dialer icon.

Ok i found it must be exactly 60x60, Im just wondering if it will work on apps that are on categories folder?And some apps doesn't seem to have the overlay like record,irealsms,gv mobile.

Slide Up to Unlock?

Is there any way to modify something so you instead of sliding sideways, sliding up to unlock? I ask cuz im making a theme that would be best if you could slide up... :confused: :p
And also, can you do so when you press for example a icon, it starts to glow? I mean you have a icon for the icon and another icon that is showed when you press it?

help with carrier in Leopard v1.2.1 theme

so i just finished setting up the Leopard v1.2.1 portrait theme, which is absolutely incredible, only thing is, I've followed all the instructions, yet my carrier 'O2-UK' is still default and covering the titles 'File' and 'Edit' in the status bar, which are both a vital part of the theme, i assumed the springback backup provided with the theme package would've fixed this, but unfortunately it hasn't, i'm pretty sure the carrier in the spbk is supposed to be a long sting of 'spaces' seeing as in the official thread of the theme the wifi bars are right by the clock in the status bar, i tried using MIM to do a sequence of spaces but it didn't work, so please, if anyone has a fix or any thoughts atall, it'd be greatly appreciated :)

EDIT: Ok now i feel like a bit of a fool, soon as i posted this i just realised in the bundles folder that all i have to do is rename the carrier logos to match O2 uk instead of ATT haha, sorry for any inconvenience guys :)

stopping a string on a certain date???

The calendar icon for the theme i've made needs to be right justified. I've tried a certain string in the info.plist that fixes it when the date is between 1 and 9 but on the 10th i need the date to go back to normal. is there any way to stop a string on a certain date? or make it so that the dates with only one digit to start with a 0? or just actually allign the date to the right?

Change Navigation Bar Font Color & Shadow?

Is it possible to change the color, shadow color, and shadow position of the titles on the navigation bars (and Safari's titlebar) through Winterboard? This seems like it should be achievable through a plist, like the text properties of icon labels. My fear is that they are hard coded into the OS and cannot be changed.

Anyone have any conclusive (or even suggestive) information?

Installing Fonts?

Hi, I am having a little trouble here and would like some help with it. I have been trying to install a font to the Cache folder under, /System/Library/Fonts/Cache/....

The font is .ttf and I have added the keys and strings to the CGFontCache.plist.

LockClock-Theme /System/Library/Fonts/Cache/LockClockT.ttf

I have also added the following at the bottom of the file:

.Lock ClockT

Plain
LockClock-Theme

I have also tried it without the period before the "Lock ClockT"

I am trying to install the font to use with a WinterBoard theme using a .HTML home screen. I have replaced the original "LockClock.ttf" and it worked like a charm, but I would only like the font to change when I apply the theme. I have followed many tutorials and haven't came across anything. I just upgraded to OS 3.1.2 from OS 3.0 and neither firmware worked with the fonts. Any help?

Update: The font I am using now is Winter.ttf. If anyone could give me a working CGFontCache.plist with the code inserted in it, that would be truly appreciated.

dock change

No matter what i do i cant get my dock to change to the dock in my new theme. The file is labeled correctly and in the right spot it just wont change my stock dock image. Everything else changes but the dock. Please help. BTW i am using 5 icon dock if that makes a difference

I don't know it's name, but I wanna change mine. Mine is on the left (ignore the Prowl icon, it's put there by Notifier), I got the one on the right from the iElegance Pro thread. I'm not going to install the whole theme for that box, but if I knew what it's called or where to look, I can pull one out of another theme or make my own.

Nevermind. I got the free version of iElegance and found the file UIPopupAlertSheetBackground.png, which I copied to the UIImages folder of my current theme.

I have 2 calendar javascripts, they are both almost exactly the same. The problem is that one works, except the days of the week are wrong while the other one is off centered with the correct days of the week.

The only difference I can see is at the bottom 3 lines. Anyway to fix the calendar to show where it should and to have the correct days of the week?

Hey, I'm attempting to make a 3 icon dock in which the 3 icons take up the whole space. I'm having trouble with the sizing the icons to a correct size so they fit he's the image I'm trying to use -see attachment- Each person being their own Icon and I will not be including the reflections, Im using the image above the hand of the man in the middle. I DO NOT want a space between the people. Help is appreciated.

problem with wbapp and lockscreen

i downloaded "katra's weather" ( a lockscreen theme) and "wbapp" in cydia and i started to change settings in wbapp to apply the theme. I selected "katra's weather" in wbapp and i changed some settings, i saved it and i tried to see the theme in lockscreen: in the lockscreen wasn't the theme but a black screen, i saw the time only!! :mad: This problem happens also with others lockscreen themes ( but not with photo as wallpaper), i saw only the time and a black screen!! :( i tried also to remove wbapp but the same problem happens! Can you help me to modify settings in wbapp to solve the problem?? :confused:Help me please! Thank you so much!!!!

Changing Carrier Icon

Hey folks,

This is getting to be a bit frustrating. I made two custom carrier icons (Default_CARRIER_ATT.png and FSO_CARRIER_ATT.png).

I put them both in Library/Themes/black.chrome.theme/Bundles/com.apple.springboard

They're both 59x20 - I select black.chrome from Winterboard and respring, but my icons refuse to show up! Any help?

Weather Theme and iBlank icons?

Hey all, I use the Delnoch themes which have the 5 icons on top and bottom (10 total) and I mod some of it to suit me but I have a question when it comes to iBlank and the Weather theme. I found a Weather theme I would not mind using and there are many on here I would love to try but when it comes to the set up, do I just set up like they say 4 iBlank icons per page (I have one page). Also, I don't want to have the Weather on the top because I want my icons at the top so can I move the Weather appearance to the middle? These are the apps. that I want on the main screen and I have the rest in folders (Apps/Games), so I want these to stay on the main page (Mail/Calendar/Cydia/Weather/Settings at the top) and on the bottom (iPod/WinterBoard/Apps/Games/Safari)? back on the 2g iphones days, i remember having a theme that put a set of Christmas lights around the iphone outer screen that wouls flash randomly. anyone have that or know where i could find it? how can i port it to new firmware if i have to? Thanks for any replies
