a couple of weeks ago i finally had it with a call i dropped with a client that was ultra important and had to make the decision to finally get another phone. it was not easy since i am a mac guy with a mobile me account way before it was called mobile me.

i live in a metro city not rural and i would drop about 20% of my calls and way to often i would go to make a call and get that dreaded tone and look at the phone and see the option to "call back" and hot that until my fingers bleed and it just wouldn't make a call. this has been the case with my 2G, 3G, and 3GS and it has only gotten worse not better.

i started thinking that i was with Verizon for 6 years and i can say with 100% certainty that i dropped more calls on the iPhone EVERY week then i did with Verizon in 6 years.

it will be almost 2 weeks back with Verizon again and ZERO dropped calls or problems completing a call and this fact alone has made me not miss the iPhone at all anymore.

i choose to go with the DROID and although like any phone or phone OS it has it positives and negatives but the overall performance difference as just a phone and relying on its abilities to make and hold onto a call has been great. i am not making a stance for the DROID because i could have picked from a number of phones that interested me on Verizon its just what i happened to pick.

some other great things besides not dropping calls that i had forgotten how much i love is not having to JB the device to get it to do what i want like separate ringtones for every alert from individual email accounts to text messages etc... i make them, put them on the phone, and assign them to everything i want.

if you are in a situation like me and love the iPhone but need that dependability for calls i highly recommend taking a look at an Android based phone. the app store for it has most of the big name apps the iPhone store does and a ton they would never allow. if you haven't taken a look at an Android phone you should.

i look forward to the day when i can return to the iPhone and the carrier is not important but being able to make calls and not drop them is.

i will still be looking around here as my wife would break my fingers if i tried to take her iPhone away :)

i need help with PHPBB, my site_logo.png isnt showing. i just changed the imageset.cfg from site_logo.jpg to site_logo.png cause i replaced the file, the new one is .png, and now its not showing at all. wth.

EDIT: ah nvm i guess phpbb cant handle png, but JPG or gif. so i just added a black background.

ipod or laptop.

this is just amazing. to achieve desired results, use a gradient overlay.

(if you are using gimp, use the full saturation gradient overlay.)

Upload Custom Themes onto Cydia

I have developed a custom theme for iPhone, and wanted to load it in Cydia...I dont want to build a repository, and dont have ability to host it.

The theme is going to be free for everyone, and I will exclusivly host it in Cydia....

Kindly let me know the process and procedures on how to load the theme into Cydia????

ModMyI asking users to click on google ads! Shocking!

Clicking a link in the forum took me to a forum page with a popup saying that access is restricted and to gain full access, you need to click on the google adsense links below.

This is fraud, and google watches this like a hawk. God forbid if google got wind of this, modmyi would lose its google adsense account faster than you can apologize.

I'm sure this was most likely a mistake, otherwise, the owners here should be very ashamed.
