Hello, I currently use 5.01 on my iPhone 4, and just got it untethered a few days ago. Just yesterday, I downloaded SBSettings and enabled it for notifications center. Using SBSettings, i made 2-3 icons i didn't use ever to disappear. It worked flawlessly, but afterwards, when I tried to make the contacts icon disspear it glitched. The 2-3 icons that i told previously to disappear were back again, as well as 4 new blank apps (Field Test, iOS Diagnostics, Adsheet, Setup).
So at this point, i can't make any apps disappear with SBSettings (it has no effect). So I searched up a guide to fix my 4 blank icons.
The instructions are as follows:
1) Go to SBSettings and go to mobilesubstrates
2) Select libhide and turn it off
After following the steps, the 4 blank icons disappeared, but the hide icons feature in SBSettings still didn't work. I thought, "Hey, why not reinstall it? It might work after a clean install!" Well, after uninstalling it, it disappeared from my cydia... searching up SBSettings gives me no results for it...
Afterwards, I go to the startup page of Cydia in search of SBSettings, and it find it. I found it in the featured section in the "10 Tools to start with." However, even though I click it, it errors.
So... how do i get SBSettings back ... These are all the steps that led up to this error. Thank you
I'm not sure why the SBSettings "hide" feature glitched...maybe email the developer about that?
But for the problem with SBSettings not showing up in Cydia, that could happen if you've uninstalled the BigBoss repository. You can check for it under Manage -> Sources. To reinstall it, you can go to the Cydia homepage and tap "More Package Sources".
If you have the BigBoss repository installed and SBSettings is still not showing up, wait for a full "Reloading Data" cycle to complete - or go to Changes, tap "Refresh" in the top left, and wait for Cydia to download and reload data. Then search for it and see if you can find it.
My BigBoss repository did get uninstalled (I don't know how it got uninstalled). Following your steps, I managed to get my SBSettings back. Even though the hide icons feature still doesn't work, it is still a neat cydia app to have, thank you!
