My springboard is crashing on me whenever I get a picture text. Was working fine last night, I got a few, and all was well.
Today, it has crashed twice, both times after I got a picture text. The only thing different is I downloaded and installed a game last night after the texts last night, and the time automatically changed for daylight savings time.
I dont know whats going on or how to fix this. any help is appreciated. Thanks

You might try deleting the last things you installed before the issue started happening.
It's tough to direct you to the correct fix not knowing everything you have done/installed.
A sure fix is restore and re-jailbrake if all else fails.
Try installing SBSettings, respring, to open SBSettings slide finger across Statusbar
Press Power, Safe Mode
Safemode turns ALL hacks off now try it
Does it work correctly in SafeMode?
If so then it is from Cydia
To deactivate Cydia stuff without uninstalling:
First: Scroll your finger along the top again and exit safe mode
Secound: go SBSettings->More->Mobile Substrate Addons
Turn stuff off then exit and if the problem disappears it's one of the however many you turned off, slowly turn them on till you find the problem then turn the problem addon ON then uninstall it from Cydia if you don't turn it on before you uninstall some problems will stick around

Mr Rodriguez, my favorite mexican american.... I do have SB Settings installed, and as blkcadi suggested, I did delete the last app installed... (finger on the icon until all icons shake with red X's on them and hit the X for that app.) I will put it in safe mode tomorrow when I have access to my wifes phone to MMS myself from her phone to see if it still does it.
When the Springboard crashes after I receive an MMS, my screen is totaly black and nothing i do responds in it, so I have to reboot it. once it reboots, it reboots into safe mode telling me that a program I cant remember the name to did not cause the crash but saved the system, and I need to respring to come out of safe mode.
I will post back once I try this and see what happens.
As for resetting and re jailbreaking, I would like some help on that if that is what i am left with cause i dont want to accedentally update to iOS 5 or anything and screw myself.

Ok, I have been working on this for a week or so now.... it isnt happening with every mms, just with group mms's now. if someone sends out a group mms and I am included then my phone crashes... the screen goes black and I have to reboot it. I have deleted several apps, and this and that and still cannot figure it out....
