A Reloading/Loading Data Problem in Cydia
Ok, so i just installed custom 3.1.2 firmware for my iPhone 2G. And when i open Cydia, on the top it shows its downloading packages and stuff, and when its done a pop up says "Reloading Data" and it gets stuck right there and then it crashes and sends me to my home screen. And when i try to open it again, the first thing it does is say "Loading Data" but it does the same thing also, it eventually crashes without finishing.
So i google'd around and SSH'd into my device and went to var/lib/apt/lists and it shows all the updates Cydia installed, so i deleted all of those except for the one folder that says Partial, and then i open Cydia and on the top it shows its downloading Packages again. So i hurried and tried to install my source before it got done re-downloading the deleted updates and get me stuck on Reloading Data but nope, i actually have to have the updates in order to install that source.
So, if anyone would be nice enough to tell me what i should do to get Cydia to work properly and install the sources without getting me stuck on "Reloading Data" and crashing, i would be VERY thankful.

I would suggest restoring to 3.1.2 again (or 3.1.3) and then use redsnow 0.9.4 to jailbreak instead.

What about it doesn't work for you?
There is also jailbreakme.com but you cannot use this if you plan to unlock.

You need redsnow 0.9.4. Any other version will not work. And you need to point it to a 3.1.2 firmware (not 3.1.3, even if you are on 3.1.3). The firmware file should start iPhone1,1 signifying the first iPhone version.
