some apps not working after update

I have a 3GS iOS 4.3.3.
everything was working fine on my iphone until I went into cydia and upgraded some things.
I don't 100% remember what I updated but since then, alot of apps simply won't open, like a local weather app, facebook and alot of others. And some others work fine.
I think i updated mobile substrate and sbsettings something.. Could it be that Its only meant to be updated if you have Ios 5?
Anyone have any idea?

Well, if i were you, i would back up phone, restore in iTunes, re jailbreak and restore from backup. Or another way to go is just upgrade to iOS 5 because your jailbreak stuff will disappear. Whichever way you do it, you'll know from next time its generally not a good idea to upgrade lots of cydia packages at once.

well, I downloaded an update to facebook and now all the apps are working again besides the ones that I bought and downloaded from the US app store. I redownloaded them but they still wont open?
A restore is really the last thing i will do. I'm waiting for a untethered JB for iOS 5.

So how to know which cydia apps are safe to upgrade?
