Cydia crashing on startup, an icon is whiite.

I jailbroke my ipod touch 4g 4.3 and cydia is always a white icon and it crashes on startup. I tried restoring an rejailbreaking it twice and the same thing happened. I deleted corrupt files like other websites said to do and that didnt fix anything. I tried installing the cydia.deb with ifunbox and restarting but that didnt help. Does anyone know how to fix this.

You probably have a tethered jailbreak. Upgrade to 4.3.3 and jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.6 rc18.

No it was untethered i think it was redsnow 0.9.6rc16 i can turn it on and off and itunes wont let me update "error 3194"

You need to go into tinyumbrella and uncheck set hosts towards cydia

Erase it. You need them pointed towards apple.

Oh ok i'll try that when i get on the computer so why does cydia not work lots of people are having trouble with it

OK. Now im just checking. You erased the hosts line that points the servers towards sauriks server and you are trying to restore to 4.3.3?

thats the problem, im sure of it. You don't have access to any other computer do you?
