Did you use pkgBackup to restore cydia packages recently?

Go into your sources (in cydia) and see if those sources listed are twice. If they are, click on the repeated sources and tell me if there is packages in one and not the other. In other words there should be two sources for modmyi.com/cydia/repo, when you select one there will be nothing in it and when you select the other one, there will. Is this the case?

I'm going to go ahead an say that it is the problem I think it is. You can try and edit/delete the repeated repo (that is empty) but my guess is it wont let you.

    Here is the solution

With Cydia not running (even in the background), use a filebrowser such as iFile or you can use a ssh client, and navigate to
/var/lib/cydia/metadata.plist and delete the metadata.plist file.

Relaunch Cydia and let it update. It will reinstall the standard sources and you will no longer get this error

I use PKGBackup also and I had the same problem.

Solution from now on is I deselect system files which is the Cydia Repos when I do a restore.

Something has changed because I never had to do this before.
