    Default RepoPrep warning message

I must have installed something that uses this repo but when I went to upgrade section in Cydia It was the warning message on the install page that makes me wonder what I should do with these it says:

"if you uninstall this package you will receive the message below.

this operation involves the removal of one or more packages that are required for the continued operation of eiether Cydia or iPhoneOS. if you continue, you may not be able to use Cydia to repair any damages.

You can go ahead and force removal if you wish, don't worry this will not hurt your device in any way. Only the repo iccon will be removed!"

Any idea what this is about and is it safe to install this ?

mod edit, warez repo site reference removed.

If you will read further on the description of the app in question, it's stated that it will be installed to Cydia.app, that's why you get the big warning. It will only replace the repo icon so it should be harmless (it's the source that's questionable). I guess it goes to show the "force removal" warning is not something taken lightly.

    Be careful who you trust.

You can do it in two ways: you can just upgrade it through cydia despite the warnings, or remove the said repo from manage - sources, then when you re-add it, it will automatically update the icon it needs. Either way is fine.

What I have heard is that ******** is the japanese repo for Cydia ( not sure what that means).
I added that repo after reading about FakeClockup and wanted it , seems that repo had it but Cydia version I had didn't ( does now).
This is the first time in all the repos I've added that I've seen anything like this.

I'm not closing this thread for certain references you've made, I'm just asking you stop using the name of that repo which contains piracy in these forums.

Sorry I didn't know that repo contained piracy (which I do not support in any form). I just read about the "app" in article on one of the iphone sites and it had the repo so I just added it. please close the thread, delete or whatever I don't want to give them any "press".

    Thanks
