Dunno? I thought that's what we'r meant to do :P

yellowsnow is a VERY old unlock. The current unlock is ultrasnow.
that would explain my error on this thead:

Whats the repo url for ultrasn0w?
Superbad Moderator
ultrasnow is in a default repo of cydia, just do a search for it and you should find it.
yeah just realised it was already installed. I have my sim card in atm but when I try and make a call or send a text it fails. is there any further configuration I need to do?

What is your firmware and baseband and device?
Firmware: 4.2.1
Baseband: 05.15.04
device : iPhone 3G (Model: MB489B)
Superbad Moderator
ultrasnow cannot unlock that baseband. You either need to install the ipad baseband first with redsnow 0.9.6rc8 or you can check if you have a 5.8 bootloader 3G you may be able to downgrade your baseband. F0recast can tell you that.
Riight, thanks. I used redsnow earlier and used my current IPSW. Do I need to use the iPad IPSW when it prompts me for my current IPSW?
Superbad Moderator
No you use the firmware for your device. You select the box to install the ipad baseband in redsnow.
Ok, reloaded the IPSW with redsn0w and the base band changed and everything works now thanks so much!
