List of installed packages shows sources not packages
I have Cydia version (1.0.3222-73).
In Cydia/Manage/Packages I get a list of repositories (BigBoss's Source, Cydia Community Source, etc.) and within those no detail of what I have installed. So nowhere can I find the packages. Apps like Winterboard, iBlacklist, and the other tweaks which have no interface on the home screen don't appear anywhere.
When I go into Cydia/Manage/Sources I see a slightly different list (BigBoss, ModMyi.com, etc.)
Any clues...?

Are the repositories the only packages you could see in Cydia? Could you see your Cydia Installer in Packages? Reloading Cydia or rebooting may help Cydia access your apps' directorys.
Locate your iPod Touch/Phone's folders by SSHing and locate the directory "/var/stash/Applications.xxxxxx/", all System apps are located in there, as well as the applications that are on your Springboard, and some Cydia packages. If you cannot find your apps, reinstall them. If you find your apps, try reinstalling Cydia and the packages included, unless it is not possible on Cydia.
Lastly, you may have disabled a dylib (Mobile Substrate Addon) from SB Settings that may have affected Cydia. Try enabling some (or all) addons, respring, then check if Cydia will see your installed Packages. I hope this helps.Last edited by Sellbars; 01-06-2011 at 11:57 PM.

Should have said iPhone 3GS 32Gb - thanks for you help though I haven't cracked it yet..
I can see the Cydia Installer, yeah.
The apps are all in the "/var/stash/Applications.xxxxxx/" directory. I've reinstalled Cydia and a couple of new apps. The new apps appear but the old ones still don't. I'd rather avoid reinstalling them because setup of one or two is tedious.Locate your iPod Touch/Phone's folders by SSHing and locate the directory "/var/stash/Applications.xxxxxx/", all System apps are located in there, as well as the applications that are on your Springboard, and some Cydia packages. All is enabled here unfortunately.Lastly, you may have disabled a dylib (Mobile Substrate Addon) from SB Settings that may have affected Cydia. Try enabling some (or all) addons, respring, then check if Cydia will see your installed Packages. I hope this helps.

I believe the only way to see all your reinstalled applications on Cydia would be to install them all again. However, to reduce that pained wait of installing, use the queuing function Cydia provides to install multiple files at a time. It is a better idea to install tweaks last.
I had a similar problem, which I restored and rejailbroken, but had to reinstall back the packages. However, using a package like AptBackup (Backs up your list in Cydia) will prevent losing your list of Packages.Last edited by Sellbars; 01-07-2011 at 03:54 AM.

I'll reinstall the JB apps I can see in the directory "/var/stash/Applications.xxxxxx/". I'm not sure AptBackup will understand what ive got installed if Cydia doesn't.
