Cydia and 4.2b3 SHSH

I have spent hours googling and am unable to get a straight answer.
Maybe someone here might be able to help.

I have Iphone 4, Jailbroken with redsn0w on Firmware version 4.2.1

I have requested the SHSH Blobs of Cydia.
and 2 days ago Cydia now shows my Blob for 4.2.1

What is confusing me,
Everyone i speak to have 4.2b3 SHS
4.1
4.2.1
4.2b3

But i only have the one, When i plug my Phone into my Mac and Run Tiny Umberlla, I only get the one SHSH Blob 4.2.1

Am i doing something wrong? Is there anyway i can get the 4.2b3 SHSH
As i want to untether my jailbroken phone.

i have the same problem because it says that i only have shsh 4.2.1 and if i check my tiny umbrella
it says that only shsh 4.2.1 but how do we get shsh 4.2b3 so we can untether our jailbreak
and how do other guys get it ?

When did you jailbreak your phone. It sounds like you just did the jailbreak. If that is the case you only get SHSH files for your current iOS version.

My old phone goes all the way back to 3.1 while my newest 3GS only has 4.2.1+ listed.

SHSH files use apple servers to verify /back-up your current verion, and they stop verifying older versions shortly after the new ones are released.

I discovered what the problem was.
Well its not so much of a problem.

When you request a SHSH Blob from Cydia, or any other method,
What it does it get he current Blobs that are released on the Apple Server.

So if you are on 3.1 and the current IOS version is 4.2.1
and you request SHSH Blobs from Cydia (or Anything els)
the Blobs you will get back will be ONLY for the current signed FW on itunes
that will be 4.2.1

When i put my request through the only Blobs on the server where 4.2.1
so i was too late from that point.

But there are a few methods in the pipe line for people who are stuck.
ih8snow are working on a program to generate SHSH Blobs for any version of Firmware.

And Tiny Umbrella are working on a version that will restore your Iphone / Ipod / Ipad FW
This could bypass the apple verification when restoring Firmware
